Influence of fertilizer levels and wild oat (Avena ludoviciana) management on growth, yield and economics of wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivation

The present study was carried out at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during winter (rabi) season of 2015–16 and 2016–17, to investigate influence fertilizer levels different treatments wild oat (Avena ludoviciana Durieu.) management on growth yield wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). There were 24 3 replications with (Levels-03) (management -08) as main subplot in split-plot design. Results 2 year showed, higher grain (44.7 q/ha), straw (66.7 q/ha) benefit: cost ratio (1.80) recommended dose (RDF) when compared 120% RDF (40.22 q/ha, 61.24 q/ha 1.58 respectively). Weed-free (55.3 79.1 2.03) pinoxaden @ 50 g/ha (54.8 78.6 2.18) being par each other resulted yields, whereas weedy check exhibited least values. Clodinafop 60 recorded significantly grain, (B:C) than sulfosulfuron 25 though it lower 50g/ha. Pendimethalin 1.5 kg/ha metribuzin 175 ensued statistically similar B : C ratio, followed by check. results also indicated that, fertilizers given larger dosages only served increase weed population rather output. In dosage fertilizer, weeds becomes resistant normal herbicides. Recommended along suitable herbicide application or manual weeding could result wheat.
